Going to a party on Mount Everest…

Yesterday a band of modern day pilgrims celebrated their first thanksgiving in this new land along with a number of friendly Uruguayos.  We totaled 20 in number and ranged in age from 5 to 70-something.  We spoke English, Spanish and Spanglish.  We were Protestant, Catholic, Orthodox, Mormon, Existentialist and agnostic.  Our family names indicated Hispanic, [...]

Thanksgiving dinner is ON!! On Thursday…

The consenus seems to be for Thursday. The plan is to start anytime after 15.00, as the first football game is at 15.30. We’ll start with refreshments and snacks, with dinner sometime around 18.00 so anyone who has to work can still make it for dinner. With the late sunset, it should work perfectly.

It may not be a tough as giving birth, but it sure was a lot of work. The file was created on 22 July 2006, at 11:25:02. The last modification was made this morning (I hope). In just a few days less than 100, The Southron’s Guide to Living in Uruguay has been written.
