This past Sunday the Yankees (and occupied Confederacy too) turned their clocks backwards as they went from Daylight Saving Time to Standard Time.
This is the last time change relative to Uruguay for about 6 months—so for those of you who are timechangeophiles, you need to find a new hobby for a while.
In the meantime, this means that:
- · Eastern Time is 3 hours earlier than Uruguay,
- · Central Time is 4 hours earlier than Uruguay,
- · Mountain Time is 5 hours earlier than Uruguay, and
- · Pacific Time is, OK, can you figure this one out? If you were taught New Math, you will probably come up with something like the square root of Pi. (Right answer: 6 Hours earlier than Uruguay.)
- · In Alaska it will be too cold to care what time it is, and it is always dark anyway.
- · In Hawaii, nobody cares what time it is—they’re at the beach.
(The worst part of the time change is that when I watch Yankee TV on my Slingbox, Prime Time begins at 11PM here.)
I hope everyone in the Northern Hemisphere (Does that make it the Yankee Hemisphere?) enjoys their coming Winter.
Spring here is glorious and Summer is heavenly!
Feliz cambio de horario!
