If you live East of the Atlantic Ocean, and If you just changed your clock from Summer Time to Standard time; Then you are one hour closer to Uruguay than you were yesterday.
As of today:

  • London is now 2 hours later than Uruguay, not 3.
  • Most of continental Europe is now 3 hours later than Uruguay, not 4.
  • Eastern Europe is now 4 hours later than Uruguay, not 5.
  • Moscow is now 5 hours later than Uruguay, not 6.
  • If you are farther East than that, just subtract an hour from yesterday’s time difference.

If you are in North America and feel left out of the time change fun WAIT UNTIL NEXT WEEKEND when you go off Daylight Saving Time!

One Response to “Yet another time change (but only relative to Europe)…”

Hi David-Why don’t your office start holding seminars-where people can get reliable information.I am sure a lot of people read your website. Could bring in some cash and make a lot of people happy. Not hype-but good info.

    >>I appreciate the vote of confidence, but it is not something we are equipped to do for two reasons:  First, UruguayLiving is NOT a commercial enterprise, we make no money on this project, except from the sale of my book, all of which goes to help pay UruguayLiving expenses, and not into my pocket.  Second, we are actively engaged in running our primary business, which pays the bills.

I have been told that International Living has been “shaken up” and is working on a return to its former excellence.  If that happens, I will be very happy about it.  They have a conference coming up on Uruguay that I know has some excellent speakers–I wish tem well.

In the meantime, we will continue doing what we have been doing with our websites and Thursday Open House gatherings–and I will write a 2nd Edition of “The Southron’s Guide to Living in Uruguay” over the coming summer.
