The best lifestyle in the world for the price…
This is the journal of The Southron, an American Emigrant from Florida who has spent the last decade living in the West Indies, former Yugoslavia and Costa Rica. He moved to Montevideo, Uruguay at the end of February 2006...

Sponsored by: Capital Conservator Offshore Banking

In keeping with our rapidly developing tradition of finding any plausible reason to throw a party, the UruguayLiving crowd will be hosting a Saint Patrick’s Day party at our new offices this Saturday beginning at 9PM.

Directions at: http://www.sociedadsouthron.net/forums/ … f=12&t=546

The traditional green beer and Jameson’s Whiskey will be provided, as will the less traditional green vodka (St Patrick is an Orthodox Saint too, you know!). Green faces will be provided by the attendees at some point during the evening dependiong upon their consumption.

Also in keeping with our tradition of good food, no Irish food will be served whatsoever (no Scottish or English either). Rumor has it that there will be finger food, also traditional at Irish events because knives, forks and spoons can be dangerous at Irish events.  This event however, will be catered by one of our more talented members–requests for “corn beef and cabbage” flavored tofu will go unfullfilled.

Uruguayos, medio-Uruguayos and extranjeros are welcome!

Please RSVP so we know how much food and booze to buy, Santiago has to drink everything left over and we wouldn’t want him to get alcohol poisoning.

One Response to “St Patrick’s Day at UL…”

What? No corned beef & cabbage? Sacrilege!
And Irish Soda Bread is pretty good too, if you like raisins, which I do.

Something to say?
