The Southron gets Medical Care in Uruguay without insurance

I went to the Hospital Militar–the Armed Forces Hospital in Monevideo. That was not a typo, the Military Hospital takes private paying patients as well. I went to them because they have a very advanced wounds trreeatment unit which includes a hyperbaric oxygen chamber that I hope will finally do away with a 6 year old wound with a Staph infection.

It is now officially Winter in Montevideo. What that means has yet to be enitrely revealed to me. Thus far it seems to mean 3-5 days of clouds and drizzle and then a like number of days with bright sunshine.
